Jacey Boggs' recent article in Spin-Off magazine inspired me to try using felted add-ins. Here they are with pumpkins, tomatoes, blueberries, and ladybugs: They will all be available in my etsy shop.

Sheep Shearing at Feederbrook Farm
I spent a wonderful few hours yesterday visiting Feederbrook Farm http://www.feederbrook.com/. For Christmas, my son, Jesse, bought me a spinning CSA share from Feederbrook, so I went there to watch the shearing. The shearing was done by Emily of Chamelin Shearing http://chamelinshearing.com/home She expertly sheared 17 sheep in three hours. I helped skirt the fleeces from the beautiful sheep raised on the farm. Before I left, I picked out my roving from last year's shearing and a beautiful wine glass decorated with sheep.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
I don't like to waste things, even small bits of yarn. As an avid sock knitter, I have saved the left over bits from most of the socks I've knit. This bowl full represents only some of my stash.
I found colors that I liked and knit them into scrap socks from four earlier projects:

Sweater Yarn?
I have finally started to spin the fiber gifted to me by my son, Jesse, through a CSA share from http://www.awrinkleinthymefarm.com/. The wool is from a sheep named Hattie who resides on the farm and is a corriedale/romney cross. I have over three pounds of fiber - more than enough for a sweater.
